The Indian cricket team has shown very bad performance in the recent series against Pakistan. The value/respect from the fan is decreasing. Yes, the team value is increased in the current series against England after winning the series by 3-1 in 4 matches. But still the team is lagging in something. The most important thing in any team is the good & fit players. But, there is large difference between first class cricket and the international cricket. 

The first class cricket must be set in the international like pitches instead of flat pitches & on grounds with different outfield. Also, the board should think on dividing the same in three parts as first class test, first class ODI’s & first class T.20. So, the particular player will play in format in which he deserves to. The selectors will also have many options for the player’s selection & it will be easy for them. 

For example, if a player is practicing first class T.20, he can be the specialist in hitting. So, the selectors can easily select him in the Indian T.20 team & the player can make a better carrier in his own regular format instead of going out of form in playing the test cricket.

Moreover, first class T.20 game must be played with more than 11 players, such as 13 or 15 or something like that, & with the rule of 5 players outside the circle & 6 players inside the circle. So, the batsmen can be specialist in hitting the shots in gaps and this will help them in getting proficiency in batting.

So, the players practicing in test will be selected in international test format only and the same for other two formats. Another benefit is that, there are good no. of youth wants to join the cricket team, but only some gets selected for the domestic cricket. So, by this many players can get chance at least in domestic cricket.
